On 8th April, China Mobile H2H Express Submarine Cable successfully landed at Chung Hom Kok, Hong Kong. This is the first international submarine cable connecting Hong Kong to Hainan, and also an important communications infrastructure supporting the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port.

The H2H Express Submarine Cable is a 16-fiber pair super-capacity relay submarine cable system, connecting Hainan Wenchang, Zhuhai Hengqin and Hong Kong Chung Hom Kok, and already successfully landed in Hainan Wenchang last month. The total length of the trunk from Hainan to Hong Kong is about 562 kilometres, and the length of its Zhuhai branch is about 113 kilometres.

The H2H Express Submarine Cable will be completed and commercialized in June 2021, realizing the interconnection among Hainan, Hong Kong, and Zhuhai.
